Wed, August 11, 2004 - 6:18 AMYeah, I've heard good things about DVD Shrink. It's one stop shopping- rips, compresses and removes protection. You can also just remove the film if you don't want all the extras that go along with it.

DVD Decrypter is also good. You can rip the movie, and
then use DVD Shrink to compress and burn dual-layer
DVDs to DVD-R media(If you don't have DL burning capability). If you have a single-layer DVD, you can rip the movie with Decrypter as an ISO image, and then use Decrypter to burn that image to DVD-R.

Smartripper is also another one of the better ones and
pretty easy to use from what I have heard. It's
freeware and it removes Macrovision protection while
also removing Region protection.
